Online independent radio station for Highams Park, Waltham Forest & anyone loving the unconventional.
hSpark Radio is an internet community radio station based in Highams Park, East London. It is run by a small team of volunteers but all the content is submitted by a wider group of local people who have free rein to make any type of radio show they wish.
Our music is an eclectic mix of rock; pop; indie; punk, house; garage; grime and reggae; and open to any other genre submitted. We have local interest interviews; shows made by local schools; and a running series of dark short dramas made just for hSpark Radio!
Since lockdown, our request show has drawn a nation wide and even international audience, with music on the airways uniting families. The daily show also showcases local musicians and bands.
Currently we have 4 presenters broadcasting live from home weekly.
We are always on the lookout for new and different niche shows. Book reviews; sports reports; new music; anything you feel you could come up with. We welcome in any new show makers and will tutor how to make a pre recorded show. We can also train those with a little more expertise to broadcast live from home.
